Melontree Studios opened its doors in 2007 and has been growing and evolving ever since. Our clients are largely charities and non-profits, but we occasionally dabble in some other areas we enjoy, like branding for new businesses and event design.

Amanda Colvin, BDes, R.G.D.
Creative Director and President of Melontree Studios
Amanda Colvin, R.G.D. was formally educated in graphic design at York University and Sheridan College in a four year joint Bachelor of Design program. She became a fully accredited member of the Registered Graphic Designers Association of Ontario (R.G.D.) in 2007.
After working for five years in boutique studio settings, she launched Melontree Studios. As Creative Director, she has become a specialist in working with non-profit and charitable organizations of all sizes. She works collaboratively with her growing design team and client-side marketing and communications staff to develop fundraising and awareness campaigns and event collateral. Amanda has developed a keen awareness of branding issues, a very useful set of project and client management skills, and a critical eye for detail. Current and past clients include Kids Help Phone, Sunnybrook Hospital Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society, Environmental Defence Canada, Habitat for Humanity, Canadian Women's Foundation, Holland Bloorview Kids' Rehab Hospital, and Parkinson Society.
In a volunteer capacity, Amanda has contributed to marketing and fundraising initiatives to support early childhood education programming and facility development, and mental health support for youth in her local community.
Amanda has contributed to her graphic design community over the years as a member of the R.G.D. Accreditation portfolio evaluation committee, a member of the Provisional R.G.D. Committee, a graphic design mentor and internship host, a panel speaker and seminar host, a portfolio reviewer at RGD's Creative Directions conference, a contributing author for the R.G.D. Review and other publications, and a design educator at Durham and Mohawk Colleges.
